How to use offline mode

Prepare your work before going to a remote site, complete supported tasks without internet, then sync when signal returns.

Quick steps

  1. 1Before you leave internet coverage: open My Actions, select Prepare Offline, enter your offline PIN, and wait for Offline ready.
  2. 2While offline: complete the assigned tasks that were prepared on this device. Saved work goes into the secure queue.
  3. 3When internet returns: open the app, enter your offline PIN if asked, select Sync Now, and wait until queued work is clear.

Before going offline

  • Log in while you still have internet access.
  • Use the same phone, tablet, or computer you will take into the field.
  • Select Prepare Offline in the Offline Field Pack panel.
  • Create or enter your offline PIN. Remember it until all offline work has synced.
  • Check that the panel says Offline ready and that the expiry date covers your field work.

What you can do offline

Worker forms

Complete prepared start-work and field forms.

QR forms

Submit QR forms that were prepared or cached before you lost internet.

Inductions

Continue assigned induction steps. Quiz results are checked when you sync.

Document sign-offs

Review prepared documents and queue required acknowledgements or signatures.

Credentials

Queue credential details and files up to 25 MB each.

Pending sync

See queued and review counts in the Offline Field Pack panel.

Only work included in your last prepared offline pack is available offline.

When you are offline

  • Complete your prepared tasks as normal.
  • Look for messages such as Saved offline or Form saved offline.
  • Keep using the same app or browser. Do not clear browser data.
  • Do not sign out until your queued work has synced.

Sync when internet returns

  • Open the portal while connected to the internet.
  • Log in again if the app asks you to.
  • Enter your offline PIN if prompted.
  • Select Sync Now in the Offline Field Pack panel.
  • Wait until Queued is 0.
  • If Needs review is not 0, contact your supervisor or support.

Important reminders

  • Offline work is pending until the server accepts it during sync.
  • Your offline pack can expire. Prepare again before each remote shift where possible.
  • Files over 25 MB must be submitted online.
  • If you forget your offline PIN, unsynced work on this device may not be recoverable.
  • Do not uninstall the app, clear browser data, or sign out while work is still queued.
