Blue Safe WHS Docs Help
Blue Safe WHS Docs is an external integration between Blue Safe Online and ServiceM8. It allows Blue Safe users to create WHS documents for ServiceM8 jobs from within the Blue Safe platform and attach the completed files back to the matching ServiceM8 job.
1. Platform Support
This integration is used through Blue Safe Online. It does not add a separate working interface inside the ServiceM8 app or Online Dashboard. The result of the integration is that completed files are attached to the relevant ServiceM8 job.
2. Requirements
- An active Blue Safe account.
- An active ServiceM8 account.
- A connected ServiceM8 integration inside Blue Safe.
- Permission to access the relevant ServiceM8 jobs and attachments.
3. Setup
- Install the Blue Safe WHS Docs add-on.
- Sign in to Blue Safe Online.
- Connect your ServiceM8 account when prompted.
- Approve the required access permissions.
- Confirm any Blue Safe document settings needed for your account.
4. How It Works
- Blue Safe connects to your ServiceM8 account.
- Blue Safe reads the job information required for document generation.
- You start the document workflow inside Blue Safe.
- If the job description is too brief, Blue Safe may ask for more details.
- Blue Safe generates the WHS document.
- The completed file is attached back to the matching ServiceM8 job.
5. Creating a Document
- Sign in to Blue Safe Online.
- Open the ServiceM8-related document workflow in Blue Safe.
- Select the ServiceM8 job you want to use.
- Review the available job details.
- Choose the WHS document workflow you want to run.
- Answer any extra questions if more job context is required.
- Generate the document.
- Confirm the completed file has been attached to the related ServiceM8 job.
6. What Data Is Used
- ServiceM8 job details needed to prepare the document.
- Related company or job identifiers needed for matching.
- Staff or assignment details where relevant.
- User-provided answers or document inputs entered in Blue Safe.
7. Troubleshooting
- If ServiceM8 will not connect, reconnect the integration in Blue Safe and confirm permissions were granted.
- If the wrong job is selected, confirm the job details and identifiers in ServiceM8 are current.
- If document quality is poor, provide more specific job information when prompted.
- If the file does not attach back to the job, confirm the connected account still has the required attachment permissions.
- If generation fails, retry the job and contact support if the issue continues.
